Riley was referred to us by a friend from church. We are out of town buyers, and we had a tight schedule. We screened houses for my son as he had to work during the day, so for houses that we considered potential options, Riley had to show them to us again so our son could see them. But he was patient with us and accommodated our schedule. Riley also had access to some new houses that were about to be listed on the market, and that met all of our requirements. This house was like our "dream house." He worked hard on Memorial Day to write up our offer. He even called his CPA friend who was able to address our concerns about the financial arrangements. Our offer was accepted that evening, to the credit of Riley. During the walkthrough, he was very meticulous when marking spots that needed to be fixed or touched up. He even went above and beyond to do a follow-up walk through for us before the close of escrow while we were on vacation. Riley is responsive, competent, hardworking, thorough, and a pleasure to work with.
What I liked most about working with Riley was he being upfront about items he noticed that were potential concerns (driveway sloping towards house without a drain, laundry vent going into garage versus exterior of home). Agents at times may not be experienced enough to identify potential concerns, some may not be able to do much but put in an offer and cross fingers. My husband stated Riley is one of the agents that is actually doing his job well (versus others who actually just do their jobs). Riley was very patient. We went through a series of homes, some which we first arrived and I was already uninterested even though I was the one that chose the home. He was able to gather any preinspection reports and remarks to help me make better informed choices. According to the listing agent, my agent representing me, as a buyer, ‘crafted a powerful offer’ and was likely the reason why my offer beat out the 6 other offers. Whoo!!
